I’m an East Coast guy and had no knowledge of fishing in the Pacific. Damon instantly made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked up to the boat. I was so impressed by his kindness and willingness to explain everything to me. His knowledge and his way of explaining everything we were going to do on our trip was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. Other Captains pushed and demanded things when I was on the boat, which made me not want to go out again. He had patience like I’d never see before and a way of explaining how, what, and when to do things without feeling pressured in any way. I ended up going on multiple trips with him. I honestly can’t imagine going out with anyone else when I visit California.
